Short Film Series: Recipes for Baking Bread

Cloak & Dagger's Yoni Collier is working on a series of short films exploring stories from Holodomor, Ukraine. The films are created by Sara Nesteruk and a show of these works will be appearing at the Holodomor Museum in Kyiv. Yoni is providing the music for the film series. This film, the first to be completed, is actually the fifth in the series and uses letters written by Jerry Berman as their source material. Berman was a South African engineer working near Kharkiv, Ukraine in late 1932 and early 1933. His letters provide first hand witness accounts of hunger and starvations in Holdomor.
